- Place the dutch oven (or large pot with lid) on medium low heat and melt the fat (butter, ghee…)
- Dice up the onions (not too fine). Dice the garlic.
- Throw the onions in the pot

- Cover and simmer for at least 40 minutes; stir the pot a couple times during
